Appearance
Ruby-Red color, bright and deep.
Nose
Intense nose, with a great balance between the fruit (cherries, black plums, ripe blackberries) and the clean nuances coming from the oak (clove, pepper, vanilla and coconut), enriched by the complex aromas developed during bottle ageing.
Palate
Very attractive on the palate, with ripe fruit and spices, tobacco and toasted oak. Elegant and soft tannins, middle weight, long and complex finish.

Actually I surprised...
Actually I surprised that this wine was pretty good. It doesnt have too much of a bite and paired well with steak. Its also a wine you dont have to pair with food and could easily just sip on. It was a decent wine given the price.

Very nice, full bodied...
Very nice, full bodied rioja. It was a little peppery and would pair great with red meat or Spanish cheeses. Im thinking manchego and a drunken goat. The price point is pretty reasonable too.
