Tasting Notes
Aroma
Baking bread, Caramel and Toffee notes, Light Brown Sugar, Hints of Cinnamon, Oaky and baking spices with hints of dry fig, honey, and bananas as you pull away.
Taste
The rye whiskey starts with sweetness. Hints of cherry pits and vanilla, and then the spice of the rye comes in on the tip of my tongue, but it has a soft mouthfeel to it.
Mid-Palate
There are subtle notes of caramel and golden maple syrup with some tobacco and cinnamon notes as it becomes buttery smooth, and well-rounded between the sweet and spicy characteristics.
Finish
A nice clean finish with ginger, black pepper spice, and moderate warmth with a dry sawdust bite.

Rye Everyone will Enjoy
The most common thing I hear from friends who try this... "I don't like rye, but I like this." It's crazy. The aspen aging has a mellowing affect on the rye, which makes this a great rye to drink straight or in simple cocktails like old fashions or sazeracs. It has a warming but not burning feel going down.. very smooth and mellow. There is an interesting woodsy vibe to the taste, but it's not flavored... it's just subtly there in the background.

this is a very high-end rye
first off, this rye with the charred Aspen wood really makes such a wonderful flavor for this smooth rye I make a barrel Manhattan with it adding an old-fashioned cocktail syrup. It's always waiting for me and oh so.good!!
