Great on the rocks

I really enjoyed tasting this gin. For starters the bottle is beautiful and easy to open. Poured over a single large ice cube this gin has a nice typical gin scent and tastes refreshing. Each sip is smooth with a pleasant lingering aftertaste that is neither overwhelming nor reeks of alcohol. I *would* try this gin in a mixed drink but it seems a shame to adulterate it in that way.

Those botanicals tho

I love this gin, plain and simple. But The Botanist is anything but plain OR simple. All the complaints people have an about gin get thrown out the window with The Botanist. It's refreshing, it's crisp, it's herby, it's floral. After trying this gin, you'll never be able to go back to whatever your local bar has on "well." I love a straightforward G+T so you can really taste all the flavors, but this gin would be wonderful in any gin cocktail!
