A solid premixed cocktail

The Manhattan mix makes for convenient and flavorful cocktail when short on time. While I prefer to make my own Manhattans when at home, this is a good alternative when portability is a priority.

Great Version of a Classic Cocktail

Given the traditional process for making an old fashioned, I was curious how well a ready-to-drink bottled version would compare. The "twist & mix" cap is a surprisingly sophisticated setup (involving nitrogen pressurized ingredients!) that keeps the scotch and the other elements separated until the bottle is opened. Once opened and poured over rocks, this stands up as a great version of a classic cocktail. The scotch lends a smokiness that is well balanced by what seem to be orange bitters. For those who enjoy the cocktail experience but don't fancy themselves mixologists, this is a great item to have on hand and would take all of the work out of a home happy hour.
