mount gay black barrel rum

Nice flavor

I enjoyed the flavor of the Eclipse Heritage Blend Rum by Mount Gay. I used it in a mojito and it mixed well and went down smoothly. The bottle recommends using it in a Rum Punch so I will try that too!

Great for mojitos!

Usually I use white rum when making mojitos at home, since I did not like the after taste that some of the golden/dark rum I used before. Mount Gay Eclipse Heritage surprised with the flavor when I made my pineapple mojito. I think the flavor blended very well with the ingredients used and provided a smooth taste and smell. Still want to try Mount Gay in other drink recipes but so far it exceeded my initial expectations for the mojitos. Definitely another brand that will be in my bar cabinet!
