mount gay black barrel rum

Great for mojitos!

Usually I use white rum when making mojitos at home, since I did not like the after taste that some of the golden/dark rum I used before. Mount Gay Eclipse Heritage surprised with the flavor when I made my pineapple mojito. I think the flavor blended very well with the ingredients used and provided a smooth taste and smell. Still want to try Mount Gay in other drink recipes but so far it exceeded my initial expectations for the mojitos. Definitely another brand that will be in my bar cabinet!

Smooth and refreshing

I was incentivized to try this rum in exchange for my honest review and I'm glad I did. I tried this two ways: alone and in a refreshing rum punch. Alone, it tastes smooth and has banana and vanilla notes. In a rum punch, it blends well and made a refreshing addition to a cold drink.
